The client wanted a CD cover designed, and the only caveat was that his picture be included on it. Beyond this, he did not know what direction to take artistically. I scanned his image in Photoshop and created a clipping path around his body. I placed the image in Quark as the front half of a folded CD jacket insert. Applying the clipping path allowed his leg - not the background stuff (sofa, wallpaper, etc.) - to extend onto the back half of the jacket.
